I've taken an interest in felting...I can remember many shrunken items throughout my life; sweaters, jackets and the like. Now felting is 'cool.' Way cool, according to the many books and magazines devoted to felting. I'm hoping this little swatch (I need to knit a few more inches on it) will turn into this felted rose pin:
If it turns out okay, I'll add a few more to my items for sale at the upcoming craft show on Saturday the 22nd. In my spare time, I've been making lots of earrings and a few necklaces.
I'll post a picture when I finish my little flower.

That's a lovely color you're working with. I'd love to see your pin when finished.
I haven't tried that yet. I have a pattern for a knitting needle case that is felted. I keep waiting for that yarn to go on sale.
Love it. I tried felting for the first time last week. I used some thrifted sweaters. I actually made a purse that turned out cute. I have a post scheduled tomorrow about it. I never learned to knit, I always envy people who can do it. I have tried but I think there is a definite art to it that I lack. Can't wait to see the finished project! Pam
I want to try it!! Can you show how you make it when you finish it? It's so cute!

That pink yarn is beautiful! I didn't realize the felting thing was getting popular. I think it looks neat. I will have to check into it. I enjoy crocheting and I wish I could learn to knit. Neat stuff!
Fabulous!
